A technique that will be necessary to master for this film is rotoscoping in After Effects, in layman's terms this is selecting a subject from a video and removing the background around them. I decided to test this out by recreating a shot I plan on shooting in the film and using the rotoscope tool to stitch the two clips together. I also used this as an opportunity to test out LUTs and how to utilise footage filmed in SLog 2. The results of this experiment were mixed, as while I did use the LUTs and rotoscoping correctly, there were a couple of glitches in the video, specifically my subject's right ear would change shape sporadically.
