Stop Motion
My initial idea for the promotional video was to show an empty dull room turn into a fun and lively room full of souvenirs left by the speaker's time spent with an IV. It would include zero input from an animation application, which defeats the purpose of this being the animation project. While the idea is nice on paper, I quickly discovered it would be hard to execute as there are very limited filming locations available and we don't have access to a vast number of props.
Augmented Reality
My second idea was to use a mix of live-action and drawn animation. It would involve the use of after effects and adobe animate, and while it would be difficult to do it is possible. The general storyline of this video would be an older teenager who had an IV sitting on a park bench reading through an old diary entry she wrote about having an IV (the diary will also serve as the voiceover). As she reads it, animations representing the times she spent with the IV interact with the park she is sitting in. By the end of the advert, the information needed to get in contact with Route 1 will appear on screen.
Some of the interactions between real life and the animations would include a dog walking, the sky turning blue and fish from an aquarium flying through the park.
